Law Office Pub 9/24 with Nick Leet, Jeremy Porter and the Embryos
We’re really excited about our next show! On September 24th we’ll be at the Law Office Pub in Yorkville, IL with Nick Leet of the Minneapolis band High On Stress, Jeremy Porter of Jeremy Porter & the Tucos from Detroit and The Embryos from Chicago.
High On Stress if a very highly regarded band from Minneapolis and Peter Jesperson, manager of the legendary band The Replacements, said about their album, “This is exceptional work.” Any indie band you love from the 90s until today, chance are they’ve played with them. Nick Leet even hosts his Figure Eights podcast where he interviews quite a lot of them.
Jeremy Porter is an amazing rock n roller from Detroit. He and his band The Tucos are also indie rock royalty and have played with a ton of my favorite bands. Most recently, they opened for Soul Asylum (one of my all time favorite bands) and Local H (another Chicago favorite) in Detroit last Tuesday.
It’s a pretty big deal for me to play with these guys, not only because of their pedigree, but because I’m huge fans of their music. It’s also exciting for us to play at the Law Office Pub, where they host tons of great bands from our genre, like Sturgill Simpson and Margo Price. We hope you come out to the show and and bring some love to our guests from out of town. More details here
