Introducing Storymind: A creative agency dedicated to bringing stories to life

Recently, I started a new professional venture. It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a really long time, start my own company. This year I launched Storymind, a creative agency dedicated to storytelling. We help tell stories through video and content, as well as teaching workshops on mastering the craft.

This is actually the second company I’ve started. The first was the Smarty Pants Theater company based out of Dayton, OH. We performed improvisational comedy all over the country and taught workshops. If you were apart of the Muse Machine program in Dayton area schools between 2004-2009, chances are you saw me perform improv at your school.

Storymind actually has roots to Smarty Pants. The tools I gained from performing and teaching improv were the most useful in my professional career. I used those skills more than anything I learn in college or at any other job. Not only did it help with presentations but also communication, cross functional collaboration, idea generation, process improvement, and problem solving. The tactics you use to be able to create a story from nothing on stage with other people are exactly what you should use in your professional career to be successful.

I always wanted to get back to the roots of Smarty Pants and return to that as a career. I saw an opportunity with and I started Storymind. We’re officially open for business. Come check us out!
